Water department workers with the City of Watsonville cut into the pavement on South Green Valley Road Friday morning at the start of a water main repair. One worker said the main ruptured sometime Thursday evening and flooded the intersection of South Green Valley Road at Harkins Slough Road. Workers were forced to close one lane of South Green Valley Road the entire day to make room for the repair job.
