WATSONVILLE — Two Watsonville men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide in a shooting event on Sept. 2 on the 100 block of Roosevelt Street.

An investigation has revealed that two suspects approached a 20-year-old male victim and shot multiple times. He was then flown by helicopter to an out-of-county trauma center, Watsonville Police said.

Investigators arrested Alejandro Martinez-Flores, 25, on Sept. 3, and Jacob Hernandez, 23, on Monday, both on suspicion of attempted homicide with gang enhancements.

The victim, who has not been named, is reportedly recovering from his injuries.
