WATSONVILLE — A Watsonville man was arrested Monday morning, suspected of a sexual assault that occurred Sunday on the 300 block of Corralitos Road, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Cleveland said.
Anthony Alvarez, 47, was charged with rape, false imprisonment and domestic violence.
After refusing to heed commands by deputies to come out of his residence for five hours, Alvarez was arrested without incident, Cleveland said.
He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
