Chloe Deleisseguess and Samantha Bellucci each won two events for the St. Francis High Sharks in their 90-31 Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League loss to Santa Cruz High on Thursday.

Deleisseguess sprinted to wins in the 100-meters (13.94 seconds) and 200 (28.22), while Bellucci won the long jump (15 feet, 8.5 inches) and triple jump (33-2.5).

• Aptos 94, Soquel 42 – Bella Dufek and Brynn Mitchell were both double-winners in Aptos High’s Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League dual meet on Thursday.

Dufek won the high jump (5 feet, 1 inch) and shot put (26-9) and Mitchell took the long jump (16-0) and triple jump (33-6).

• ND-Salinas 86, NMC 49 – North Monterey County High’s Sarah Delgado and Elisa Ibarra both won a pair of events for the Condors in their Monterey Bay League Gabilan division dual meet against Notre Dame-Salinas on Thursday.

Delgado won the 400-meters (1 minutes, 4.47 seconds) and 800 (2:34) and Ibarra was first in the 100 hurdles (19.02) and 300 hurdles (52.61).

Daniela Munoz took the 3,200 (13:12.59) and Brenda Bermudez recorded a win in the pole vault (8-0).

BOY’S TRACK AND FIELD

• Aptos 103, Soquel 29 – Jon Gospodnetich was a double-winner for the Aptos High Mariners in their Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League dual meet against Soquel on Thursday.

Gospodnetich won the long (19 feet, 3 inches) and triple jump (39-3), setting personal records in both, while also taking second in the high jump (5-3). Jorge Benitez was first in the 1,600-meters (4 minutes, 47.37 seconds).

• Santa Cruz 90, St. Francis 31 – Braxton Rico, Nathaniel Ramos and Carson Cuzick all recorded wins in St. Francis High’s Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League dual meet against Santa Cruz High on Thursday.

Rico won the 800-meters (2 minutes, 1.74 seconds), Ramos took the 3,200 (11:33.83) and Cuzick was first in the shot put (41 feet, 5.75 inches).

• Palma 100, NMC 36 – Ryan Orlando won the triple jump (41 feet, 5 inches) for North Monterey County High in its Monterey Bay League Gabilan division dual meet with Palma High on Thursday.

HS BASEBALL

• MVC 14, Pacific Grove 2 – The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs 10-run ruled the Pacific Grove High Breakers in their 14-2 non-league win on Wednesday.

Garret Laine, Jacob Beardsley, Ian Koenig and Abe Cohen all drove in a pair of runs for MVC (8-9, 4-8), which is off until April 25 when it hosts San Benito High. Beardsley also doubled and Koenig also scored a pair of runs.

Lucas Schmidt picked up the win after only three innings of work. He allowed three hits and no earned runs while striking out two.

BOY’S VOLLEYBALL

• PCS 3, Mt. Madonna 2 – The Pacific Collegiate School Pumas stunned the Mt. Madonna School Hawks with a 25-22, 25-27, 12-25, 25-18, 16-14 win on Wednesday night to remain in sole possession of first place in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League.

Brigg Busenhart had a game-high 26 kills for Mt. Madonna.

JC BASEBALL

• Cabrillo 9, Skyline 5 – Alex Trautner struck out 10 batters in Cabrillo College’s 9-5 Coast Conference Pacific win over Skyline College on Thursday.

Trautner recorded the win on the mound. He went eight innings and allowed six hits, four earned runs and three walks.

Jarius Richards hit a pair of doubles, scored twice and drove in three runs. Kyle Swanson also had three RBIs and doubled. Digger Gugale and Easton Vidales doubled. Clayton Andrews was 2-for-4 with a scored run and a walk.

Cabrillo (23-11, 9-3) hosts Gavilan College today at 1 p.m.

BOY’S GOLF

• Aptos 199, St. Francis 262 – Max Meltzer fired a 34 to earn medalist honors in the Aptos High Mariners’ Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League win over St. Francis on Thursday at Seascape Golf Club.

Adam McDonald (38), Johnny Staka (41), Noah Clarke (43), Cole DeFrancesco (43) and Drew Stillwell (48) rounded out the day for Aptos, which clinched at least a share of the league title.

Jason Kane and David Vasquez both shot a 48 to lead St. Francis. Izzie Mendez (50), Chris Copriviza (52) and Jerome Lumicao (64) followed for the Sharks.

HS LACROSSE

• Scotts Valley 13, Aptos 4 – Blake Welle had a hat trick for the Aptos High Mariners in their Mission Trail Athletic League North division loss to Scotts Valley High on Thursday.

Matthew Quinn scored once and also had an assist for Aptos (9-5, 3-4), which plays Soquel High on Monday at Christopher High in Gilroy.
