J. Transito Renteria Siordia died peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at a medical center in San Francisco. He was 79.

Mr. Renteria Siordia was born to Magdaleno Siordia and Maria Renteria in Jalisco, Mexico on Aug. 10, 1939. He was a resident of this community for 27 years and was a hard working person who was employed at local berry farms for 25 years. Mr. Siodia was a friendly person and was known amongst his family and friends as “El Muñeco” and also as “Moreno.” He had many hobbies but the one he most liked was knitting beautiful wrist bands. He also liked to watch football soccer games.

Mr. Renteria Siordia is survived by his wife, Antonia Reyes Delgado; four step-sons, Luis, Jose, Marco, and Asael Marin; two step-daughters, Maria and Mirian Marin; two daughters, Olaria and Silvia Vasquez; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Sunday, April 22 from 5-9 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Valley Catholic Church on Monday, April 23 at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
