FREEDOM — Helen L. Beavers died on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at her home in Freedom. She was 81.

A native of Watsonville, she lived her entire life here. Mrs. Beavers was a waitress for 50 years and worked at several Watsonville restaurants. She last worked at Cabrillo Lanes, retiring after 29 years there. Mrs. Beavers was a member of the Bull Riders Association and followed their circuit. She was also on several bowling leagues, enjoyed art, and loved her animals.

Mrs. Beavers is survived by her two sons, David of Freedom and Michael of Manteca; a brother and sister in Watsonville; two granddaughters; and two nieces.

At her request there will be no services. Cremation and private burial at Valley Public Cemetery will take place. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
