Guadalupe Chavez was born on February 20, 1927 in Huandacareo, Michoacan. She married Federico Chavez at an early age with whom she shared a happy 66 years of marriage with. They were blessed with 14 children, 51 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Mama Lupita, as known by her family, enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and the occasional trips to the casino. She passed away on February 3, 2018 – 2 weeks before celebrating her 91st birthday. She will be remembered by her family as an extraordinary woman with a one of a kind personality. She will be missed by her children: Manuel, Celia, Consuelo, Rafael, Federico, Fabiola, Graciela, Rosa, Maria, Miguel, Archie, Freddy, Gil and Lupe.
Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 5-9 pm with the Rosary recited at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10 am and burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.

Fueron bendecidos con 14 hijos, 51 nietos, 91 bisnietos, y 27 gran bisnietos. Mama Lupita, como la conoce su familia, le gustaba la cocina, la jardineria, pasar tiempo con su familia, y visitar casinos. Mama Lupita fallecio 3 de febrero 2018 – 2 semanas antes de celebrar sus 91 años de vida. Ella sera recordada por su familia como una mujer fuerte con una personalidad unica. Sera extrañada por sus hijos Manuel, Celia, Consuelo, Rafael, Federico, Fabiola, Graciela, Rosa, Maria, Miguel, Archie, Freddy, Gil y Lupe.
La visita tomara lugar en Mehl’s Colonial Chapel el miercoles 7 de febrero de 5-9 pm con el Rosario recitado a las 7 pm. La misa sera celebrada en la Iglesia de San Patricio el jueves 8 de febrero a las 10 am seguido por el entierro en Valley Public Cementerio.
