Concepcion Garcia de Farfán died peacefully surrounded by her family at a local nursing home on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was 95.

She was born to Jose Garcia and Maria Trevino on June 4, 1923 in Tempe, Ariz. Mrs. Farfán was a resident of this community for over 63 years. In her younger years she worked at Mann’s Apple Shed but mostly she was a homemaker tending to her large family. She liked to listen to music, dance, collect wind chimes, feed stray cats, go shopping, and tend to her flower garden. Above all she loved to spend time with her family and cook delicious meals for them.

She is survived by four sons, Ernesto (Olga) Farfán, Carlos (Grace) Farfán, Armando, and Arturo Farfán; three daughters, Angie (Manuel) Nunez, Maria de Jesus (Elias) Garcia, and Elena Padilla; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Trinidad Farfán; and two sons, Luciano and Trinidad Farfán.

Visitation was held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on March 13 with a rosary and Funeral Service. Burial took place at Valley Public Cemetery on March 14.
