SCOTTS VALLEY — A San Jose man was arrested Thursday for driving under the influence of alcohol after allegedly rolling his vehicle, and then driving to a Scotts Valley residence, California Highway Patrol Officer Sam Courtney said.

According to Courtney, Kevin Smith, 47, was under the influence of alcohol as he drove a 2000 BMW Z3 southbound on Highway 17 north of Vine Hill Road at about 11 p.m.

Smith lost control of his vehicle, which rolled over. He then drove to a home in Scotts Valley, Courtney said. A concerned acquaintance called CHP.
