WATSONVILLE For the wine lovers in South County, the area is notoriously lacking wine events.

Last year, the Watsonville Winemakers Studios sought to change that, and now it is preparing its second annual Berries & Bottles Boutique Winery Showcase on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the studios, 18 Hangar Way, Suite C.

The showcase is a fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank and co-sponsored with the Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Featured wineries include 37th Parallel, Bruzzone Family Vineyards, Bunter Spring Winery, Dancing Creek Winery, Domenicos, Myka Cellars, River Run, Roudon-Smith, Sante Arcangeli and Wargin Wines.
