WATSONVILLE — No injuries were reported late Tuesday when someone opened fire with a gun on a car on Shady Oaks Drive.
Watsonville Police Sgt. David Rodriguez said police were dispatched to a report of a hit-and-run traffic collision at 11:36 p.m. Officers were quickly updated that there were shots heard in the area with four to five subjects fleeing from the scene.
When officers arrived, they located an unoccupied black Toyota sedan with numerous bullet holes in it. Through witness interviews, officers learned that a passenger from a black SUV fired several shots at the victim sedan while both cars were traveling on nearby Holly Drive.
