WATSONVILLE — Lorenzo Lopez died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, April 10, 2014. He was 58.
Mr. Lopez was born on Jan. 15, 1956 in Tierras Blancas Michoacán, Mexico to Lorenzo and Eulalia Lopez. He worked in agriculture for more than 40 years. He enjoyed playing and watching soccer, but most of all his life was committed to his family and their happiness. Mr. Lopez loved to travel back to his hometown and spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Fernandez Lopez; and his four children, German, Eulalia, Lupita and Veronica Lopez; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation services will be held on Monday, April 14, from 5-9 p.m. with a citation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church. 100 Salinas Road, Royal Oaks, with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery, 2445 East Lake Ave., Watsonville.
