The Watsonville and Pajaro Valley rivalry will continue.
Despite Pajaro Valley being moved down from the Monterey Bay League Gabilan to the Pacific both teams are still planning to meet during the preseason according to their respective athletic directors.
“We’re definitely getting that game on the schedule,” said Watsonville High athletic director Saul Ruiz. “It’s always a big crowd. We love playing our cross-town rival.
“That game means a lot not just for the school’s but for the kids. They get to play against their buddies who they grew up against.”
Since Pajaro Valley entered the picture in 2006, Watsonville and the Grizzlies have played 16 times with the Wildcatz holding the advantage at 10-3-3.
