WATSONVILLE For its third year, the Watsonville Film Festival is adding more than films.

Hip-hop, Aztec and Folkloric dancers, as well as a lowrider car show, will be part of the festival, which will take place at the Henry J. Mello Center, 250 East Beach St., from March 14-16.

But with a theme of "Dance, Music and Culture on Film," the festival's focus is still on screening films, with more than 15 to be featured.

A number of directors from Mexico City, Los Angeles, New Mexico, San Diego and the Bay Area will attend the festival alongside local professional and student filmmakers.

With two successful festivals in the books, co-founder Consuelo Alba said the committee took comments and suggestions from previous years and incorporated them to improve the event.
