Dutra to run on change

WATSONVILLE — Santa Cruz County Supervisor candidate Jimmy Dutra graduated from Watsonville High School in 1993, and set out to earn a degree in political science from Santa Clara University.

He was a White House Intern for President Bill Clinton, and after graduating he earned his chops by working on a California Gubernatorial campaign and former Vice Presidential Candidate Geraldine Ferraro's NY Senate race.

When he came back to Watsonville in 2009, he noticed a disturbing trend: several businesses and restaurants were gone, their storefronts still vacant.
