WATSONVILLE A man was arrested Wednesday and charged with indecent exposure and annoying or molesting a child after he allegedly exposed himself to a middle school girl.

Andres Arias Gonzalez, 26, was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on $15,000 bail, jail records showed.

Watsonville Police Cpl. Rudy Lopez went to E.A. Hall Middle School on Wednesday to investigate a report that a man had exposed himself to a female student.

After that report several other female students reported that they had seen the same adult male on school grounds acting lewdly.

During the investigation, police were sent to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the area of East Lake and Tuttle avenues.

Lopez thought the suspect description matched that of the indecent exposure suspect, so he contacted the victim who positively identified Gonzalez, police said.

After the arrest, investigators learned that Gonzalez had an outstanding warrant for an indecent exposure arrest in August 2013, and that he has another arrest for indecent exposure and one for sexual battery dating back several years.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Watsonville Police Department Crime Tip line at 728-3544 or the Watsonville Police Department Investigation Bureau at 768-3350.
