WATSONVILLE — Former Watsonville Police Chief Terry Medina formally kicked off his campaign for the seat of Santa Cruz County Supervisor in the 4th district Thursday.

The catered event, held at the Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust, served as a stage for Medina to hone his focus with supporters on a host of issues, from agriculture growth to law and safety.

“I also have a lot of people to thank tonight,” Medina said. “Right now it looks like about 150 people are here to stand behind me and that’s encouraging.”
