WATSONVILLE — Results from a survey show strong support for a public safety tax measure, according to a presentation given to the Watsonville City Council Tuesday.
The survey, conducted by Godbe Research and TBWB Strategies, asked more than 300 Watsonville voters via telephone if they would support a half-cent sales tax increase, providing them with the positive and negative of the proposal.
Slightly more than 70 percent of those surveyed said they would vote "yes" on the measure, said Bryan Godbe, president of Godbe Research.
