WATSONVILLE A man was shot at but missed as he was riding his bike at South Green Valley Road and Carey Avenue Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.

According to Watsonville Police Sgt. Saul Gonzalez, three 15-year-old males, two on bicycles and one on a foot scooter, approached the victim as he was riding down South Green Valley Road near Ranch Milk Market on a cruiser-type bike.

One of the suspects pulled out a gun and took a shot at the victim but missed. The victim was uncooperative, Gonzalez said.

A witness followed the suspects and led police to them. They were located and arrested at the McDonalds restaurant on the 1500 block of Freedom Boulevard and booked into Juvenile Hall.

The shooting is thought to be gang-related.
