Modified: Wednesday, Nov 27th, 2013

Christine was born Nov. 7, 1920 in Watsonville, attended Notre Dame Elementary and High School and then worked as a bookkeeper for local businessman, Ralph Friend.

She was the last surviving member of the Joseph and Louise Peixoto family, being preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 7 sisters. She met her husband while shopping at HiGrade Meat Co. and they were married in Feb of 1946 after his tour with the navy ended. They started their family in 1948 and continued with children, Pam Church (Kevin), Karen Luthringer, Nancy (Randy) Craney, Ed (Amy) Cooper and grandchildren Molly (JR) Church-Flanders, Eric (Heather) Church, Jason Luthringer (deceased), Noah Craney, Eddie (Cooper) and Spencer (Cooper) and great grandchild Violet Flanders. She was a long time member of the Altar Society and a devout Catholic but her real interests were her family and her flower garden. She died peacefully after a brief illness on Nov 23, 2013.

A visitation is scheduled at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel Sunday, Dec. 1 from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 6pm. The Funeral for Christine will be at Valley Church Monday, Dec. 2 at 10am.
