WATSONVILLE ó Eduarda Banderas died at her home in Watsonville on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was 58.
Mrs. Banderas was born in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico and moved to Watsonville in 1973. She was a caring woman who loved her grandchildren. She also loved spending time in her garden amongst her flowers, cooking and baking and having fun; even enjoyed going to amusement parks. Mrs. Banderas was devoted to her faith and regularly attended Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Pajaro.
Mrs. Banderas is survived by her husband, Jorge Gutierrez of Watsonville; children, Antonio and Fabian Banderas, Lorena Medina, Sonia Viveros and Jasmine Gutierrez all of Watsonville; sister, Maria Banderas of Watsonville; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Mehlís Colonial Chapel on Monday, 5-9 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
