Aptos Mariners holding youth football camp

Aptos Mariners head coach Randy Blankenship will be hosting the Lil’ Mariners Developmental Youth Football Camp.

The Camp, which is available for kids from second to eighth grade, will cost $60 and will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for four days starting on July 22 at Trevin Dilfer field at Aptos High School.

The camp will focus on teaching the fundamentals of football through drills, as well as competing in seven on sevens.

WATSONVILLE PONY-13:

Watsonville Pony 13 made it to the final four of the West Zone NoCal Super Region tournament.

They were allowed to compete in the Super Region round despite finishing second to Santa Cruz Pony 13 during the Region.

After being blown out by Santa Clara 17-7 in their tournament opener, Watsonville just beat San Carlos 13-12 and then dropped South San Francisco 13-3.

They were then eliminated by the host of the tournament Campbell, who went on to win the championship.
