APTOS -- Two people were killed Sunday evening at a Ridge View Road residence, and Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies have a 39-year-old man in custody.
Deputy April Skalland said dispatchers received a 911 call just before 5 p.m. from a resident reporting a domestic dispute.
According to dispatchers, a woman called to report that someone was intentionally trying to run her husband over with a car. The line disconnected.
Deputies responded to the home off Porter Gulch Road and found a man dead outside. A woman was dead inside.
Skalland said she could not immediately confirm the victims' ages or manner of death.
Deputies began searching for the alleged attacker, James Henderson, and put out a reverse 911 call to residents in the area warning them of a suspect at-large who was believed to be armed and dangerous.
A little before 8 p.m., deputies found Henderson outside a home just a few residences away from where the two people were killed.
After a short struggle with deputies, Henderson was arrested and transported to County Jail.
Skalland could not immediately confirm Henderson's relationship to the victims, though other media outlets reported that Henderson may be the victims' son.
Further details weren't available as of 9 p.m Sunday.
