Resident of Watsonville
David P. Stolich, a lifelong Watsonville resident, passed away Sunday evening surrounded by family and friends. He was courageous and dignified with a sense of humor till the very end.
David grew up the son of a Croatian apple farmer and continued in his father footsteps. He took pride in the orchards he worked and while he had dirt on his boots (which he insisted on wearing into the house) he was always well dressed, charming, ever the consummate gentlemen. He enjoyed a lifestyle that involved all things farming, catching up with his friends over coffee, or shooting sporting clays.
David leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Diana; a sister Nancy Copriviza; an Aunt Celia Garcia (Hollister); two nephews Michael (Emmy) Copriviza (Cupertino) and Tom (LeAnn) Copriviza (Aptos); along with four great nephews and nieces, Anthony, Claire, Courtney, and John Copriviza and many loving friends.
Friends may call at Mehl's Chapel Friday June 7 from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. A private burial with family only will follow. The family prefers contributions to the donor's favorite charity or WomenCARE (2901 Park Avenue, Ste. A1, Soquel, 95073) in lieu of flowers. For the complete article see the 06-06-2013 issue.
