WATSONVILLE — The Watsonville Planning Commission on Tuesday will consider allowing nighttime entertainment during the weekends at a restaurant on Main Street.
Las Islitas Restaurant, at 1230 Main St., came to the Watsonville Police Department's attention after it was found operating as a night club on the weekend without an entertainment permit, according to a report by Marcela Tavantzis, community development director, and Keith Boyle, principal planner.
The owner, Iliana Ramirez, was notified that live entertainment was outside the scope of her original permit, who compiled and ceased the entertainment, the report stated.
Ramirez is now requesting to modify her permit to include live music and karaoke on the weekends in addition to expanded hours. These hours include closing at 1 a.m. Friday through Sunday. For the complete article see the 05-04-2013 issue.
