WATSONVILLE — Anthony “Tony” Gurash died at his home on Monday, April 29, 2013, after a short illness. He was 92.
Mr. Gurash was born on July 5, 1920. He served 44 years as a mechanical department supervisor for Southern Pacific Lines until his retirement from the Railroad on July 5, 1981. During his retirement, he and his wife, Antoinette, were able to travel around the world. Mr. Gurash was also a member of the 720th Railroad Battalion, stationed in Europe during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Antoinette “Toni” Gurash; two sons, Danny and Tommy and his wife, Christina; and two granddaughters.

A Chapel Blessing and Rosary will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with visitation prior to the service from 11-1 p.m. Burial will follow at Watsonville Catholic Cemetery.
