Former Watsonville resident, Ann Teresa Rutledge, 92, died Sunday, March 3, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Apple Valley, Ca. Born and raised in Watsonville, she married William Rutledge (deceased) in 1944. During her years in Watsonville, she was an active member of the Croation Fraternal Union and the Young Ladies Institute (YLI). She and William moved to the golf community of La Contenta in Valley Springs in 1990, where they were active in golf and line dancing. A former piano teacher, Ann played several instruments, including the accordion, organ and mandolin. She joined an entertainment group and they performed at various venues in Calavaras County. In addition to her love of music, Ann enjoyed traveling around the United States, Europe and Mexico.
Survivors: son, Bill Rutledge (Lynn) of Valley Springs; daughters, Joan Greene (Don) of Helendale; Barbara Richardson (Erick) of Ojai; grandchildren Erick Richardson, Matthew and Elizabeth Rutledge; Courtney and Ashley Greene; and four great-grandchildren.For the complete article see the 04-23-2013 issue.
