WATSONVILLE The Watsonville Planning Commission will look at approving plans today to revitalize a closed gas station on Freedom Boulevard and add a new 7-Eleven convenience store.

The existing 1,266-square-feet gas station, on the corner of Freedom Boulevard and Alta Vista Avenue, is proposed to expand to 2,363 square feet and include beer and wine sales, according to a report by Marcela Tavantzis, community development director, and Keith Boyle, principal planner.

The business, which the report states has been closed for a number of years, last operated as Olympian Gas.
