Joann N. LeMond, resident of Aromas, passed away in Watsonville on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2013. She was 81.
Joann was born at St. Lukeís Hospital in San Francisco on June 25, 1931 to John Peter Glage and Anna Germolis. For 40 years she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse at Watsonville Community Hospital. She loved animals and had several horses, cats, and dogs. She was an avid rider and participated in, and won, many endurance riding competitions. She passed on this skill to her grandchildren who also went on to compete. Above everything else, she loved her family.
Joann is survived by her husband of 59 years, Peter LeMond; her daughter, Kathy Caprino; her sons, Rodrick and David LeMond; her brother, Tom Glage; her grandchildren, Michelle and Danya King, Rod, Ryan, Matthew, and Andrew LeMond, and Charlie Williamson; and her great-grandchildren, Aaron King Caprino, Danie King, Cali Ingram, and Lauren LeMond. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael LeMond.
