Tess Alaina Lerner

SANTA CRUZ — The family of a missing woman is reaching out to the press in hopes someone in Santa Cruz has seen her.

Tess Alaina Lerner, whose nickname is “Satya,” was last seen Nov. 17 in Capitola near Grove Lane and Park Ave., where she was reportedly living in her car.

She is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and, at 80 pounds, very thin and emaciated. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

She is 30, but looks younger. She is also a vegan.

Lerner was driving a 1998, 4-door blue Chevrolet Contour. She was known to shop at Whole Foods Market in Capitola, and frequently went for a walk after getting her groceries.

The vehicle then sat at the location for three months before it was discovered. Her groceries were found in her vehicle, along with her keys, which were found in a side pocket.

She carried a bright blue ukulele, which was not found in the car and could be in her possession.

Anyone with information is asked to call 310-991-7683, 310-277-7318 or 310-980-7022.
