PAJARO — Jose Hernandez of Pajaro died suddenly on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Watsonville Community Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was 60.
Mr. Hernandez was born on Sept. 6, 1952 Michoacán, Mexico. He moved to Watsonville as a young man to work in agriculture and was soon able to bring his family to live in Watsonville. A perfectionist, Mr. Hernandez was able to receive training to become as assembler and was working for Laser Devices, Inc in Monterey at the time of his death. He will be remembered for his upbeat personality and great smile. His greatest joy in life was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Mayra, Wendy and Daniel; four grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jesus, Salvador, Martha, Jose Dolores and Victoria and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. with Rosary commencing at 6 p.m., Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street, Watsonville, CA 95076. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption in Pajaro with private burial at the Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Patrick and Debra Molina Carroll, Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main Street, Watsonville, CA 95076. Donations to the family preferred.
