Tarsicio Jimenez

FREEDOM — Tarsicio Vega Jimenez died at his home in Freedom on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was 84.

Mr. Jimenez was born in Michoacán, Mexico but moved to the Watsonville area 30 years ago. He worked locally on the Jesus Navarro Farms for many years. He was a dedicated and hard-working man who deeply loved his family. Always a gentleman, he was never without his hat and couldn’t abide cursing or swearing, especially around his family. He enjoyed listening to music and riding horses.

Mr. Jimenez is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Diaz de Vega; son, Vidal Vega; daughters, Antonia, Teresa, Ignacia, Ema, Pilar and Ana Vega; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Monday from 5-9 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Valley Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
