Robert F. “Bob” Marshall

Robert F. “Bob” Marshall, 93, passed away Saturday in Vallejo.

Robert was born to Rudolph and Emma Marshall in San Luis Obispo, CA, July 15, 1919. He attended the local schools graduating from San Louis Obispo High School and attended Cal Poly where he received his degree in electrical engineering.

He was hired by PG&E and worked in several Bay Area power plants in the 1940’s. In 1949 he transferred to the new Moss Landing power plant and worked there until his retirement in 1976. He, his wife, Navarre and their daughter, Roberta moved to Watsonville in 1949. He and his wife resided there for 63 years. Recently they moved to Vallejo to be closer to their daughter. They were proud to have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past August.

Bob was a member of three Masonic Lodges for more than fifty years. They include the Confident Lodge, the East Bay York Rite Masons-Ancient Chapter, and the Orinda Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, hiking, trout fishing and spending time with his family. He and his family would travel on vacations to many different places in the U.S. and Canada. The also enjoyed their vacation house in Tahoe in both the summer and winter. He had a wonderful full-filled life.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rudolph Jr. and his sisters, Ella and Mabel. He is survived by his wife, Navarre and his daughter, Roberta.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, March 1st in the Mausoleum Chapel at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Rd., Watsonville. A reception will follow at All Saints Episcopal Church, 437 Rogers Ave., Watsonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the charity of the donor’s choice.
