Joan Chieko Ridao

WATSONVILLE — Joan Chieko Ridao died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was 84.

Mrs. Ridao was a devoted wife to Raymond Ridao, who passed away in 2005. She was born in Kobe, Japan, on Feb. 1, 1929, where she lived until she was 21 years old when she moved to Watsonville. She will always be remembered for her warm smile. She enjoyed working in her garden and cooking for others.

She is survived by her nephews, nieces and family in Japan.

Graveside services will be held at the Pajaro Valley Memorial Park where she will be buried with her husband on Friday at 11 a.m.
