WATSONVILLE — Moments after Justin Carrancho cleared the handshake line, he raced up to the bleachers to hug all of the family members and friends he could find.
There was plenty of cheer from the Watsonville faithful after the boys basketball team defeated North Monterey County 60-54 on Wednesday in the team’s final home game of 2013.
With the win, Watsonville improved to 5-6 in the Monterey Bay League’s Pacific Division.
The quest is not over just yet for the Wildcatz. They can earn the qualifications to get into the CCS tournament if they defeat Pajaro Valley on Friday night.
