Percy Hernandez

WATSONVILLE — Percy L. Hernandez died at Watsonville Community Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was 84.

Mr. Hernandez was born in Lindsay but has lived in this area for the past 39 years. He was a very devoted man to his family and loved to spend time with them. He owned Sanchez-Hernandez Motors on Riverside Road for 16 years. He also attended Our Lady of the Assumption Church until his health wouldn’t allow.

Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife of 37 years, Eusebia Hernandez of Watsonville; son, Jorge Hernandez of Mexico; daughters, Rosa Margarita Morales, Rosa Moran and Norma Diaz, all of Watsonville; brothers, Ricardo and Jesse Hernandez of Lindsay; sisters, Carmen Hernandez of Arizona and Socorro Hernandez of Hanford; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Monday from 5-9 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
