WATSONVILLE — Lisa Lent was a 29-year-old career flight attendant working long, international flights when she felt a “crunching pain” in her chest. She later learned that she had developed blood clots in her lungs, which she attributed to the strenuous nature of her job.

She said the changing cabin pressure, low oxygen, continual dehydration and closed air systems of airplanes wreak havoc on the immune systems and bodies of industry workers and frequent flyers.

“I never want that to happen to anyone else,” Lent said.

Refusing to let the setback ground her, Lent created Flightpack, a six-pill supplement that included a dose of vitamins, beneficial herbs and Omega-3 oils designed to bolster the immune system and keep frequent flyers healthy.
