WATSONVILLE — Two juveniles and an 18-year-old man were arrested Thursday night after they were stopped by a Watsonville Police officer looking for suspects in an earlier shooting, the Watsonville Police Department reported.
According to the WPD, an officer spotted a brown Ford Windstar minivan, which matched the description of a vehicle involved in a Pajaro shooting, approximately 6 p.m. as it drove on Union Street. The driver appeared to be approximately 14 years old, police said.
The officer stopped the van on the 100 block of Union Street and contacted the 14-year-old driver, who did not have a license. He also contacted a 16-year-old boy and Roberto Cervantez, 18. All three males were found to be in possession of shotgun shells, and a shotgun was found in the van.
Cervantez and the juveniles were arrested for firearm and ammunition violations, probation violations and gang enhancements.
