Esperanza Ruelas-Reyna

WATSONVILLE — Esperanza Ruelas-Reyna died at Dominican Hospital on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was 82.

A native of Michoacán, Mexico; Ms. Ruelas lived in the Watsonville area for the past 20 years. She loved to attend church at St. Patrick’s Church, go shopping, exercise and cook. She was a wonderful grandmother.

Ms. Ruelas is survived by her children, Martin Reyna of Las Vegas, Nev. and Maria Cristina Cruz Ruelas of Freedom; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Valley Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
