Juanita Sanchez Ramirez

SANTA CRUZ — Juanita Sanchez Ramirez died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. She was 77.

Mrs. Sanchez Ramirez was born on May 6, 1935 in Rankin, Texas. She loved to crochet and watch western movies. She had an amazing green thumb and loved plants of all kinds.

She is survived by her children, Diane, Ruben, Lucio Jr, Frank, Cruz, Tony, Rosemary and Irene; sisters, May, Jessie, Helen and Lucy; brothers, Pete, John and Lazaro; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lucio, daughter, Sally; parents, Simon and Estella; and siblings, Lupe, Mary and Frances. 

A Rosary is planned for Sunday at 7 p.m. with a Memorial Mass on Monday at 10 a.m., all held at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz.
