Jose Luis Ojeda passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at his home in Salinas, surrounded by his family. He was 80.
Mr. Ojeda was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, and has been living here in the area over 60 years.
He was a fieldworker that enjoyed his work. He also liked to fish and cook meals for his family. He especially liked to tell stories to his family and friends and listen to music. He was a man of faith who regularly attended church, at the Kingdom Hall in Salinas.
Mr. Ojeda is survived by his son, Bernardo Ojeda; siblings, Pedro and Cenorina Ojeda and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Ojeda in 2004.
Visitation will be held at Mehlís Colonial Chapel on Tuesday, January 1st 5-9 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Pioneer Cemetery on Thursday, January 3rd at 1 p.m.
