BIGGS — Francis Roberta Rink died in her home in Biggs on December 19, 2012.
She was born in Mexico but lived in Northern California for a number of years before moving to Biggs with her husband. She was the owner of Fran’s Day Care on East Lake in Watsonville and had another Fran’s Day Care in Auburn. She was an accomplished seamstress that also enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. She loved to travel extensively having visited Australia, Italy and Western Europe as well as most of the United States and Hawaii. She also loved to sing and would always sing with her sisters when they were together. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the 187th Airborne Association.
Mrs. Rink is survived by her husband, Joseph Rink; and her children, Troy Teves of North Highlands, Moniquette Teves of Watsonville and Giovanna Teves of Biggs; sisters, Jana (Pete Lozano) Duron of Aptos, Jennifer (Jeffrey Bosshard) Carrera, Cippie (David) Arellano, Mary (Tim) Martinez; brothers, John D. Carrera, and Jess (Rose) Carrera, all of Watsonville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. Pat and Debbie Carroll of Ave Maria Memorial Chapel have been entrusted with the arrangements.
