Posted: Friday, Dec 21st, 2012

CAPITOLA Police are looking for two men who robbed Grady's Liquors in Capitola Thursday night.

According to the Capitola Police Department, the two suspects entered the store on 509 Bay Ave. at 10:15 p.m. and demanded cash from the register. They reportedly ordered the clerk to the ground at gunpoint and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects exited the store and fled southbound on foot on Capitola Avenue. It is believed they were eventually picked up by a waiting light-colored vehicle, police said.

After the robbery occurred, a Santa Cruz Police Department K-9 searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects are described as black males, both approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. One wore a red "Phillies" baseball cap, red-colored sweatshirt, blue jeans, white-colored tennis shoes and a bandana covering his face. The other suspect wore a blue- and red-colored baseball cap, grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes and a bandana covering his face.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Capitola Police Department at 475-2791.
