Nancy Johnson passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2012 at her home in Copperopolis, CA. Nancy was born February 13, 1957 in Watertown, South Dakota. She is survived by her husband, Shane of 38 years; daughter Shannon, and son Michael (Lisa Uribe); grandchildren Quinten and Mercedes; mother, Donna Cornell; brothers, Greg (Sandy) Schultz and Terry (Susan) Schultz; brother-in-law, Gary Cardoza, Sr; step sister, Wilma (Lou) Redding; step brothers, Doyle (Gay) Cornell and James Cornell; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Gayle Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, John Schultz; her step father, Herman Cornell; sisters, Debbie Schultz Cardoza; and Kathy Schultz Strader; brothers, Jeff Schultz and Randy Schultz; step brother, Jim Cornell; and mother and father-in-law, Evelyn and Eddie Johnson.
Nancy loved being a housewife and mother. She had a contagious laugh that couldn’t be mistaken. She loved life, especially her Mother, kids, and grandkids. Nancy was an avid San Francisco Giants fan and NASCAR fan, especially #48, Jimmie Johnson. She never missed a bingo game, garage sale, or the opportunity to play with her grandkids. Nancy cherished the Christmas season and treasured her frog collection. She was an extremely kind hearted person, loved by many, and will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Community Church, 95 Alta Vista St, Watsonville, CA.
