APTOS — With rain and wind forecasted for Saturday, the Aptos Chamber of Commerce decided on Thursday to postpone the holiday craft fair and annual tree lighting event in Aptos Village to Saturday, Dec. 8.
The event will take place from 2-5 p.m. on the corner of Aptos Creek Road and Soquel Drive.
The first annual craft fair will be the site for 12 vendors, and feature all kinds of handmade Christmas goods, such as jewelry, ornaments and candy canes.
A visit from Santa Claus and a performance by the Twin Lakes Church Youth Choir "Credo" will round out the festivities.
The series of storms from the Pacific Northwest that first hit the county Wednesday also caused Snow Day and tree lighting ceremony in Watsonville to be postponed to Dec. 9, starting at 3 p.m.
