Rosemary Rivera OíHagin passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 21, 2012 she was 55 years old.
Rose was born in Salinas CA, in 1957, and was raised in Watsonville CA. She attended Watsonville High School and graduated in the Class of 1975. After high school she began her career in the accounting field as a bookkeeper and most recently was working at Marty Franich Chrysler Dodge Jeep for the past 10+ years.
Rose loved spending the summers with her daughters, nieces, nephews and grandson up at the swimming pool where she lived. She enjoyed watching the kids play together while she read her novels and soaked up the sun. She also loved her little Chihuahua, Petey, and her beautiful Blue Russian cat, Aja. You could also find Rose listening to her favorite tunes at home on the deck in the sunny times of the year or inside watching her favorite movies, Forest Gump, the God Father or Titanic. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Things wonít be the same without her but time does heal all wounds.
Rose is survived by her husband, Harry OíHagin; two daughters, Amber and Tracy (Joe Murillo) Graham; her nine year old grandson, David Rabago; and her brothers, Larry (Ramona) Alvarez of El Centro, CA, Augustine (Pamela) Rivera, Ralph (Robyn) Rivera, Joe (Linda) Rivera, and Daniel Rivera all of Watsonville. Rose is also leaving behind many nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.† She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Anita Rivera, and her brother David Rivera all of Watsonville.
A visitation will be held at Mehlís Colonial Chapel on Wednesday, November 28th, from 5-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7p.m. †Services will be held at Mehlís on Thursday, November 29th at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.For the complete article see the 11-27-2012 issue.
