Name a street in Aptos Village

Posted: Friday, Nov 16th, 2012

Santa Cruz County is calling on the public to name a street in Aptos Village.

The proposed street is part of the Aptos Village project and will run between Aptos Creek Road and Trout Gulch Road.

Choices include:

Rafael Castro born in Santa Cruz County in 1803, Castro owned the 6,000 plus acre Aptos Rancho, including the current Aptos Village.

Sawmill Road in honor of the sawmill that was on Aptos Creek in the 1800s

Apple Barn Street in honor of the historic apple packing shed that is currently used an antiques store. It will be relocated and converted into a proposed grocery store as part of the development plan.

Aptos Village Way

You can also write-in your street-name choice.

The Aptos Village Project will provide more than 60 residential units and 75,000 square feet of commercial space in an 11-acre development zone in the heart of Aptos Village. A tentative ground breaking is set for sometime next spring.
