The Scotts Valley High football team finished its season by defeating St. Francis Central Coast Catholic 55-13 on Saturday at Carl Connelly Stadium.
In the loss, St. Francis had a record-setting moment, as Matt Clifton became the first quarterback in school history to throw for 1,000 yards in a season.
Clifton, coming back from an injury two weeks ago against Santa Cruz, threw two touchdown passes to Nate Ceballos, one being a 53-yard strike.
Running back Jonathan Carmona finished just shy of 100 yards rushing in the game.
Scotts Valley finished the season 6-5 and 5-2 in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League.
St. Francis finished the season 2-8 overall and 1-5 in league play.
