WATSONVILLE — The Watsonville City Council is set to see two new faces after Planning Commissioners Trina Coffman-Gomez and Karina Cervantez won their races Tuesday night.
With about 90 percent of the votes, Coffman-Gomez had 789 votes to 79 write-ins, and Cervantez had 457 votes to 34.
Incumbents Lowell Hurst and Felipe Hernandez also finished with about 90 percent of the votes in their races.
All races were unopposed.
Coffman-Gomez will fill the District 6 seat left by outgoing councilmember Emilio Martinez, and Cervantez takes over District 2 from Oscar Rios.
