WATSONVILLE — Rudy Hernandez died at Watsonville Community Hospital on Monday, October 8, 2012. He was 60.
Mr. Hernandez was born in Weslaco, Texas but lived in Watsonville his whole life. He loved to cook, work in his garden, listen to the Oldies and go to the beach. He also enjoyed working on cars until his health wouldn’t allow. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and two dogs, Chuco and Paco.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife of 35 years, Josephina “Fina” Hernandez; son, Daniel (Blanca) Hernandez; mother, Mena Hernandez; brothers, George (Sofie) Hernandez and Albert (Gabriela) Hernandez; sisters, Laura Belcorda, Emma Hernandez and Mary Reveles; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eriberto Hernandez, Reynaldo “Rey” Hernandez, and Santana Nobel.
In lieu of flowers donations to help offset the cost of funeral arrangements can be made directly to Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.
A memorial Rosary and Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians (Valley Catholic Church) on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with funeral arrangements.
